To reach the Private falls many jeeps are available, The prices are kind of in the higher side but still it's worth the experience, You can have fun for some multiple hours in a private falls with just a limited number of people. If you don't want to spend money, then you can walk up to the nearest private falls which is not actually private but definitely have some higher privacy level than the main falls.
Boating is available in this dam which is also the range of a higher price point. The boating is a really good experience But I would say that it's not worth the price.
Underrated tourist spot 5kms away from Senkottai town. There is no bus facility to Gundaru dam . You need to take an auto on sharing basis for budget trip else the auto drivers charges you ₹200 per trip. Typical dam structure built like slider for excessive water flow into the downstream from the reservoir. There is no safety measure to take the bath. Please be careful on this slippery floor across the sliding wall while going with your group. Taking bath at reservoir is at own risk. Moreover , reservoir boating charging ₹50 per head and 4 private falls Jeep safari also available . They ask ₹3500 per 10 persons depends on their demand as an entire package to all private falls into the dense forest. I have went by the Jeep with the driver named as Mr.Linga Durai.
Must visit place for adventure seekers! An off-road jeep ride to the private falls was a thrilling experience. Trekkers needs to be very cautious because the pathway is so slippery. They almost have around 7 private falls which public can access through that pathway. Falls are way too much crowded during weekends because of the monsoon season, so plan accordingly.

Worst place in courtalam. Plz don't waste your time , energy, and money. There is only a simple dam and some small flow or water and one small public water falls and some private water falls. Pubic waterfall is free of cost and it's within walking distance. But the private waterfall is slightly up and restricted to public vehicles u must pay to jeep of ₹2000 for 4 passengers. Jeep had a slightly off-road experience. There is a restroom but it's closed so all must use an open dedication. The area is totally contaminated by fecal matter and bad odour Due to the area people businesses mind the toilet if the govt provides a free restroom it will be more clean.
